Nothing is much worse than waking up to that familiar sting on your face. You do a little bit of poking and rubbing and you know that feeling. In hopes that it’s just something stuck on your face from the night before, you rush to the bathroom, but alas, it’s exactly what you thought: You have a pimple. Pimples tend to happen either on a Thursday night before a big Friday night event, or on a Sunday, they day before work. One thing is for sure, a pimple pops up at the most inopportune time about 24 hours before you have something to do. Luckily, pimples aren’t a new problem, so we’ve had a lot of time to look into how to get rid of pimples. In fact, we now know how to remove pimples in one day!
Tips on How to remove pimples quickly:
As soon as you notice that you have a pimple, it’s important that you don’t do what your mind tells you to do: pop it. It seems like that would be best: to get the infected part out to promote healing. However this can cause more inflammation and even scarring.
Instead, wash your face with a gentle cleanser immediately. This will get rid of any excess dirt on the skin so that it doesn’t further clog your pores and cause more pimples. Eliminating one is enough!
Once you wash your face, you have a few options on how to proceed. The first thing you should do is apply some ice to the area. Wrap some ice cubes in a paper towel and apply it to your skin for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off for a few minutes. This will help to bring any surface inflammation down.
One option is to apply toothpaste – the same stuff you out on your teeth to clean them—to the pimple. This will help get rid of bacteria and also help the pimple to dry out. Make sure you let the toothpaste sit on your skin for at least an hour.
If you have somewhere to go and cannot go out with toothpaste on your face, another thing you can do is to apply fresh lemon juice. Because of its high level of vitamin C, lemon juice helps the pimple to dry up and eliminate oil.
Perhaps the quickest way to get rid of the appearance of a pimple in a pinch is applying foundation or concealer. It’s true that this can further clog pores, but it can absolutely help in a pinch. There are even some foundation and makeup products that have added moisturizers so that they’re not as bad on your pores.
Knowing how to treat your pimples seems like a superpower. In a way it is. Keep in mind that your skin type will determine which methods work best. Once you find out which methods work best for your skin, you’ll be able to cut those last minute pimples out of your life quickly.
